Its past my bedtime and I’m up and about doing yet another gamecron. Sorry to have disappeared on you guys; I was away on a short journey to the awesome Taj Mahal and Agra Fort with a couple of my friends and after I came back, I had some trouble getting back to writing, But here I am.
I am know that you will have your plates full with some awesome games releasing this month, But I’m pretty sure that there would always be room for desert.
An interesting post from the Lost Garden on Why indie games are good for fans :) No, not how to become a fan but looking for the true heros behind all those awesome games. I’m pretty sure that these links were going around for some time now, but as developers and gamers you should really read these two blogposts and their comments from Wolfire, the first post about Why you should use OpenGL and not DirectX and a second follow up post titled Direct vs. OpenGL revisited. Enjoy.
Old post kicked up; I once came upon a post not too long ago from Emanuele Feronato on his blog about 35+ Game portals that can give your game at least 100k views. I remembered that I had asked myself to remind myself to remind everyone about this post when I once read it. So now that I remember, I’m telling you, so go check it out :D and of course, don’t forget to read the comments on that post as well :)
There are times, when some event passes by without you knowing about it, and later on, when you find out about it, you really wish that someone had told you about it! well, with eventsforgamers you won’t have to worry! Events For Gamers or E4G for short is a website dedicated to give you upto date information on events related to games and the game development industry.
Games today; If you like to drill and dig, (or even if you don’t) try out this little game down at Kongregate called MegaDrill! Its very nice! Or if you feel like racing Chariots, check this out :P As @photonstorm promised, here is a really neat retro game they actually created for a range of vinyl toys called Droplets.
After you’ve done playing, check out some of these awesome previews at TIGSource as well..
I will come back to you tomorrow with more news and happenings from the indie game world, this is me, Yadu Rajiv saying Good night.. erm.. or is it Good Morning..
