I know it must be a pain to login to check on a blogpost.. But I feel a bit uncomfortable with letting just anyone read them any more.. Its not as if I’m writing a story or a poem.. Its my life..
23 years and counting.. still nowhere with a lot of things.. I was telling amma about how some things are very alike at times, with that of a trapeze artist; but unlike him I’m afraid to let go; letting go of doubt and disbelief.. freeing my mind? *grin*
If all goes well, I should be on top of newer things by the time when Onam ends.. If anything unfortunate should happen before that, it will only speed things up.
Freeing my mind.. before you step off that ledge, you are a man with control, of his surroundings, of his elements, of his fears.. the confidence mounts as you prepare for the leap, eye on the target, and then?! As soon as you jump you realise what you have done, then you realise that you are nothing.. then you realise how alone we all are, for that moment you lament for the billions and billions in the world for you know that the control you had was just a lie.. you feel the truth in your hair and how hard it is, like the cement floor a hundred feet down.. But then again, with some luck we manage.. But then again, do we really need to?! Isn’t life somewhere in that 10 second leap? form one ten second leap to another.. ‘making it’ is only the means to do it again..
Words of wisdom before I go *grin*.. okay, here goes.. No one is going to tell you that its time to jump! you just figure it out!! trust me, not everyone really cares! and most importantly, that chances are, most of them are going to be your competition, so they really don’t give a damn.
I’ve decided to finish off some of my flash work and move on to other things by the end of September. Teaching has been a really easy, enjoyable, challenging and at the same time tiresome process. I am confident that I can get back into teaching any time I want to later in my life.
You would be seeing some of my new work in about a week or two as I got my flash up and running in Ubuntu ( using Wine ) finally!
Some things I just wrote down on my to buy list..
C++ Primer By Stanley B. Lippman, Josée Lajoie, Barbara E. Moo
Publisher: Addison Wesley Professional
Print ISBN: 0-201-72148-1
Pages: 912
Pro OGRE 3D Programming By Gregory Junker
Publisher: Apress
ISBN-10: 1-59059-710-9
Pages: 288
Both books are really well written, especially the C++ Primer. I really find it difficult now-a-days to read from ebooks, since something like this require a lot more concentration than your average paperback novel. more as things happen..
